My story...

I left Vancouver on April 4 2010 to live one year abroad. I arrived in London- spent a week with my cousins, headed over to Ireland to see some more cousins and tour the country, back to London for a day- and arrived in Paris on April 28th, 2010. I found an apartment and started working on May 10th. From May 2010 until February 2011 I lived the Parisian life and took advantage of living in the epicenter of the world by traveling and exploring numerous nearby countries such as: Algeria, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, the south of France, Belgium, Morocco, and South Africa.
This blog takes you into the wonderful adventures of my life with stories and pictures galore.
I was due back to Vancouver on April 1, 2011- where I took my position back after my one year leave. I flew back to Vancouver on March 27, 2011. It has been good to be back- I am so blessed as I am surrounded by such great people!!! So good to see friends and family again after 1 year!
Just because I'm back in Vancouver to what was my "normal" life... doesn't mean the adventures and blogging stop here. The adventures will continue I'm sure... so
the only way to stay informed with my random experiences is to come back to this page! So add it to your favourites.

I'm not embarrassed......

......That's just who I am.

So my wonderful friend Melissa contacted me and said one of her friends is going to be in France for 2 weeks and is going to be going through Paris. She asked me If I'd like anything from Canada.... how sweet of her!!!!

So at first I said no thank you... I'm fine. But then 2 days before he was leaving I was looking for something specific and couldn't find it at the supermarket. Also.... I was running low on one of my bear necessities.

So... I wrote her back and said... I actually thought of two things I could use... if you don't mind of course. Now I told her... I wouldn't ask if I didn't want it nor if it was readily available... so of course it's random.

The next thing you know her friend is adding me to facebook so we can coordinate a time and place to meet... and the message he writes as he's requesting my friendship is:

"I might be your deodorant messenger."

OKAY... so what... I asked for deodorant. I have been using the same one since like grade 7 and really like it... it's like 'my scent'. And yes...there are some aspects of us that don't grow old...such as the scent of my favourite deodorant... Lady's Speedstick- Raspberry flavour. In addition to that I asked for Decaf-Earl Grey tea. Apparently you can buy it here somewhere?! Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough... but I was happy to get my Tetley tea.

Thank you so much my dear friend Melissa and Noriko for taking the time to go to the store, for the money you spent, and for allowing me to meet your friend. Thank you Joe for being a sport and bringing these goodies with you all the way to Paris for me! It was much appreciated... and no I'm not embarrassed... I'm HAPPY, SLEEPING WELL, AND SMELLING GREAT!!!!
